Hey all, I picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Dolphin emulator recently. Most of you who have tried to play it, know that getting the controls to work is a pain. I searched the internet and didn't see any good configs, so I thought I would share mine.

Good evening, I know this is a really old thread but I'm unable to find any real information about my question aside from this posting. I've had a working config for Mario Galaxy 2 for awhile now, but just recently started playing again. I came across the level called Silver Chomp Challenge or something, where you are on the ball. My problem is that the ball requires the Wii remote motion for turning left and right, as well as keeping it pointed upward or something. I had my mouse doing all the work for the pointer and motions, but I can't successfully maneuver the ball to beat the level.

It should also be common sense to read the forum rules (we even announce when we've made changes), in which case we clearly state in a situation like that people should make new threads, even if we have an existing 'mega' thread from years ago.
We're actually okay with having the same questions brought up over and over again in Support or General Discussion; people have been doing that ever since I joined in 2011, and it's never gotten out of hand. The alternative is to let people necropost which actually was a huge problem circa 2015. Honestly, our policy is not much different from Reddit where older discussions are auto-archived after some time, except we have to close things manually on the Dolphin Forums. With the mega threads, they tend to get abandoned. At that point, we want people to make new threads about issues largely for their own benefit. Their problem is simply more visible to people who want to help. A lot of the regulars won't bother to check old mega threads even when updated unless they were once very interested in the original subject.
